Carbon Emissions

A study has been conducted to calculate carbon emissions issued by all countries. Those studies showed that emissions have increased more than double in the past 30 years. Especially in the Middle East and North African countries which are producing oil and gas, these countries are more likely to use it carelessly, they also didn’t use to have concerns about our environment. Most of the emission in the world is generated from rich countries, they had taken the lead.
The goal of the study is not to place blame on any country, but to raise consciousness and create new resolutions. UAE is one of the Middle East countries that are trying to decrease its carbon emissions,They are regulating air conditioning equipment; furthermore they are monitoring the emission and having skinks to absorb greenhouse gases

Gemasolar

The first solar power plant called Gemasolar to use a new technology is sponsored by Masdar and SENER, a Spanish Engineering Company in Spain. The plant is made of a series of reflective mirrors, centered on a tower, which gets rays from the sun and transfers them to electricity. The technology uses the new idea of molten salt to store the energy through a fluid then to a turbine to power electricity.

These heliostat units were so big they were a big challenge to stabilize as they need a lot of control to position them correctly to maximize the sun’s heat and be stable in strong wind as well as generate power all day through a magnification process. The idea is to supply thousands of homes with power from the plant and the design is very cutting edge.
